 The winery’s name, Maraella, comes from the first two initials of his four granddaughter’s middle names, Jim’s way of keeping the girls involved. 

 The Fruithurst Winery is nestled just north of the town of Fruithurst, AL. Its name comes from one of the original wineries in the state. 

 Nestled in the midst of the Bankhead National Forest, and named after the Sipsey Wilderness.  Sipsey Vineyard and Winery highlights the proud history of wine-making in the Southern Appalachian Region of the United States, while passionately producing quality wines and ciders in the beautiful "Free-State" of Winston County Alabama.
